Orchestra Concert Programme

This is the cover of the concert program for USC's Concerto Chamber Orchestra. Somewhat arbituarily, I decided it was going to be a watercolor theme. I started out with a quick doodle.

I liked the idea of using lines to represent the wind instruments. The French horn looks especially good with it.

Then, I tried to think of how to include the other instruments. I decided to paint the string instruments on top of each other as the background, giving it a nice, sophisticated color scheme. The line drawing and the text went on top.

Satisfied with the draft, I repainted the background and used a cleaner brush for the lines.

A few months later, I was commissioned to create another program for their second concert of the semester.
